An incredibly clean beach. It was a pleasure to sit on. The tide was out when I went there but the little pools it left behind were lovely and warm. I paddled for quite a long time in these pools. It felt like walking on the surface of the moon such was the untouched nature. You can see the mountains of the Lake District in the distance too
The sandy and gravel beach is a decent place to spend some time. While it's not a paradise on earth, the soft sand and gravel provide some level of comfort. The cleanliness of the beach was acceptable, and the water was suitable for swimming. It's a place for a peaceful day by the water.
Clean & extremely large when the tide is out. You can walk for miles. Some areas are quite muddy but generally it's clean sand & pebbles near the shore. Great for kids & dogs. There's toilets at the Marine Hall end & up by the observation tower too. Great views across Morecambe Bay to the Lake District & the mountain Ingleborough can also be clearly seen over the River Wyre, dominating the visible North Yorkshire skyline.
I visited Fleetwood Beach, Lancashire on the drive up from Blackpool, this June 2021. It's a lovely beach and seafront promenade etc and a very pleasant and nice place to relax etc. There are lovely views out to the Lake District and Morecambe Bay too. In my opinion, a very nice, quieter alternative to the Blackpool beaches and other nearby attractions. Great for parking, lovely ice creams and other nice seaside refreshments. Enjoy! :)
I love this beach it is a really nice quite place not to far from Blackpool but away from the busy blackpool beach it is a more of a rocky beach but its beautiful you can ever find little crabs walking around
Best kept secret ever. Beautiful beach. Kids loved searching for creatures and polished pebbles. They even had staff collecting the litter on the beach during August to keep it nice. Great toilets and beautiful sea front. No problem parking. Only down side was one dog walker on the beach, with a wild dog not on a lead. Though you can't blame Fleetwood for the owners lack of intelligence. Love the place.
Beautiful and litter-free beach that has is has lovely clean sands but also plenty of rocky, pebble goodness for those who like to beach comb. There's an area specifically designated for swimming as well which is very considerate. Probably could do with a couple more public toilets but the available ones were clean enough so we let them off. We had a great afternoon here and will be back again with the littles.
Lovely beach, not many shops etc on the front but that's just how we like it. Perfect for spending a day actually on the beach with not many other distractions. It was clean and not busy at all when we went even though it was a nice day. There's plenty of free car parking on the front within a few metres of the beach. The beach has nice large sandy areas and a strip of pebbles/shells too. Check tide times before you visit as the sea goes really far out (if you're bothered about paddling!)
